This was done with Maya and MudBox.
The chair was done in Subdivisions and converted into polys from there as well as the legs.
I was going for a material on the body that did not take the eye away from the chrome and the high spec of the red plastic.
I wanted it to seem as if someone had taken fine sandpaper and roughed up sections of the body to expose the metal underneath.
The lighting has five lights all with different levels of intensity.
Crits welcomed.
