This started out as a shader test and mutated itself into the model shown. Base mesh was done in Maya and posed into a loose gesture with the opened hand.
I sculpted the form in MudBox and shaped the organic armour as well in Mud using the flat brush extensively.
The shaders took a lot of time because of all the decals and scratches trying to make sure certain layers came through while others were more subdued.
There are 6 lights used the scene with varying intensities.
Learned alot from doing this, hope you like it.
